Dawn obtained her massage education at the Hawaii Healing Arts College in Kailua, Oahu in 2007. Since then she has been providing deep tissue massage therapy to her personal training and boot camp clients in Hawaii, California, New York and now Georgia. She brings a holistic perspective to massage therapy with her 12 years of being a health and fitness professional. She is also an ordained minister, serving as an Army Reserve Chaplain, so she is aware of your whole being, not only your body, but your soul and spirit.
In addition to working with athletes and weekend warrior types, her speciality is working with clients who sit at their computers and commuters who spend hours in their car. She understands how to release stored up stress in the soft tissue and help restore proper posture, increase blood flow, which will improve sleep patterns and alleviate chronic pain.
She recommends regular monthly massage for everyone to maintain hydration in the fascia and keep inflammation to a minimum. For those people who are suffering chronic pain, she recommends every 2-3 weeks in conjunction with chiropractic adjustments until the pain is minimized and under control.
Pain killers and surgery do not heal the body, but regular massage and adjustments can correct the issue in your tissue!
Dawn has 10 years of deep tissue massage therapy and has developed a gentle, intuitive technique that works with the client’s breathing so the tissue will experience release and healing.
Dawn uses a deluxe padded massage table, heated sheepskin pad, non-oily massage cream with arnica (herb for circulation) and Young Living Essential Oils. She uses hands, forearms and elbows and co-operates with the client’s breathing to minimize discomfort during the massage.
