Dawn is such a great coach and trainer! She does not force you to do something that you cannot do.  Dawn is honest and motivating.  After 2 days of training with her, I was so motivated to make exercise a part of my life that I joined a gym! That was something I kept saying I would do over the years, but always made excuses. It has been four weeks since I started training with Dawn and I feel so much better. Every session is a new challenge...you never know what you're going to do!  Rather than it being an intimidating thought, I welcome the challenge to work different muscles and equipment. "As a not so fit 60 yr old I agreed to join the Kapiolani Park 4week session upon the suggestion of my daughter. All I remember being asked was if I wanted to come with her and join an exercise group. Hah! When I got there little did I know it was referred to as "boot camp" and led by a "Buff Mama". I thought to myself" What have I got myself into?" Let me tell you after all the jogging, stretching, lifting, pushing, squatting and pulling it was worth it. Despite the initial aching muscles, my little old body feels so much better now and my energy level has increased tremendously. I have always tried to diet, exercise, lose weight, but always yo-yo-ed. I exercised more for stress relief. But in 2007 I had several life changing events, one in particular that really affected me.  At 35 years old, I lost the job I had for 15+ years. I didn't know what to do.  I was at an all time low, emotionally and physically. Although I found another job, I didn't have the same confidence and self esteem anymore.  A friend told me about Buff Mama, but thought I couldn't do it, wouldn't fit in, but I took a chance.  I am sooooo glad I did.  Dawn helped me regain my strength, physically and emotionally.  After 4 weeks, I noticed changes in my body and confidence.  I was blown away, I was actually able to do complete 10 sit ups for the first time in my life!!!  Although this seems like a small tiny thing, for me it was a major event. Dawn is a great motivator and trainer. She can see what you can do, even when you think you can't.   Thank you Dawn you ROCK!!!!!
